Job summary

A local education centre in Singapore is seeking a full-time educator to plan lessons and supervise students. The ideal candidate has a Diploma or WSQ Student-Care Certification and is familiar with the MOE syllabus. You will engage with students, track their progress, and communicate regularly with parents. This role operates Monday to Friday with shifts during school terms and holidays.

Job description

Main Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver lessons

• Coach, supervise and ensure completion of daily school homework

• Conduct practices and tests for spelling (English and Mother tongue)

• Ensure safe and timely transfer of students from school to student centre, including pick-ups from nearby schools

• Monitor and track the progress of students

• Engage and provide regular update to parents and/or guardians on students’ progress and behaviour

• Mark students’ work

• Perform administrative duties and ensure upkeep of centre premises

• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Centre Supervisor

Academic Requirements:

• Diploma / WSQ Student-Care Certified

• Familiar with MOE syllabus or have prior working experience as a tutor/teacher

• Able to communicate effectively in English and one other mother tongue language

• Able to coach primary school level academic subjects

• Passionate and enjoy working with young children

• Outgoing personality and pleasant disposition

• Possess excellent work ethics and integrity

Working Hours:

Full Time - Monday to Friday (11am to 8pm during school term; 8.5hrs+30mins lunch break shift work 7am-8pm during MOE school holidays & Home-Based Learning Days)
