Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Singapore is seeking a Structural Engineer to coordinate technical teams and manage engineering details for ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years' experience in structural steel engineering, proficiency in AutoCAD and Tekla, and possess a diploma in engineering. Responsibilities include reviewing design documents, evaluating models, and ensuring compliance with project standards.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead technical teams in producing engineering details and resolving design matters for ongoing projects.
• Review and analyze design documents and specifications to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Evaluate structural models and check shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure all steelworks, welding procedures, and surface treatments follow relevant codes and project standards.
• Raise technical queries and clarification requests when necessary (e.g., RFI, TQ, RFA) to resolve design or site issues.
• Recommend improved design alternatives and refine connection details for structural elements.
• Track progress of shop drawings and compile weekly status reports for management.
• Take on additional responsibilities or tasks as assigned by supervisors or department heads.

Requirements

• Successful candidate should have a minimum diploma in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering
• At least 4 years of experience in structural steel engineering projects coordinating experience.
• AutoCAD / Tekla knowledge.
• Open for 5.5 Alternate Saturdays working.
