Job Description:

  • Manage, organize and plan activities to ensure smooth execution of projects in the Department.
  • To meet and brief the team of the respective Projects to be executed for the schedule/plan date, all requirements and expectations (safety, quality and productivity) prior to commencing.
  • Set Milestone target dates for the team.
  • Ensure that manpower is effectively deployed to deliver the products timely.
  • Ensure that manpower is adequately trained and qualified to perform jobs and to meet future challenges.
  • Evaluate and assess the work performance of staff.
  • Resolve any technical problems or issues faced at the work site.
  • Settle technical issues on site including with Clients and DM’s Engineering Department inclusive of any TQ to be raised by Engineering Department.
  • Study and evaluate the work sequences and methods of the Department and explore new ideas to improve quality and productively.
  • Ensure that Safety, Health and Environmental operating procedures are followed and counsel staff about compliance as necessary.
  • Accountable for the team and sub cons HSE – housekeeping issues, safety (safety behaviour, culture, work practices) and their personal disciplines.
  • Ensure that jobs outsourced to sub-contractors are effectively supervised and the products are delivered timely and in accordance to the required specifications and quality.
  • Lay out plans for site / Modules storage of materials / off cuts, equipment (welding sets and gas pallets), crane pathways / movements.
  • Attend meetings – clients and management when required.
  • Prepare the respective team duty roster for all staff
  • Overall performance ratings for all the personnel in the Team including sub cons.
  • Review all submitted documents from the team prior approval and submit accordingly

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Holding the same position with 10 years’ experience in Maine Fabrication yard dealing with FPSO modules.
  • Good in Management skills and Microsoft office
