Job summary

ADAS - Multimedia Engineering is seeking a Structural Engineer to design, analyse and model ETFE skylights, tensile membrane systems and steel structures. You will perform structural calculations, FE analyses, and develop 3D models and shop drawings to support project design and delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor or Master in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant Civil/Structural design experience.
• Proficiency in steel 3D modelling, analysis and design software such as Rhino and Grasshopper.
• Proficiency in programming languages C++, Python and Fortran.
• Able to produce detailed layout drawings.
• Experience with Tensile Membrane, ETFE Skylight and Steelwork design is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and analysis, loading and stresses calculations for ETFE skylights.
• Model Skylight, Tensile Membrane, and Steel Structures and prepare drawings.
• Model steel connections and analyze via IDEA StatiCa.
• Conduct Finite Element Modelling including linear, non-linear, P-Delta, mode shapes and load buckling.
• Prepare 3D structural models and shop/fabrication drawings with detailing.
• Create as-built drawings and method statements for projects.
• Carry out CFD environmental studies under supervisor.
• Utilize Rhino/Grasshopper for design and scripting in project work.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and fabricators; supervise projects and report progress.
• Ensure projects meet authorities' requirements.

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for the design, analysis, and modelling of ETFE skylights, tensile membrane systems, and steel structures. The role involves performing structural calculations, finite element analysis, and developing 3D models and engineering drawings to support project design and delivery.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to produce technically sound and buildable solutions, support site coordination, and ensure compliance with regulatory and project requirements throughout the design and construction process.

Job Description & Requirements

• Perform structural design and analysis, loading and stresses calculation and drawings for ETFE
• Skylight, Tensile Membrane, Steel Structures
• Steel connection modelling, design and analysis using IDEA StatiCa
• Perform Finite Element Modelling and Analysis of Structure inclusive of linear, non-linear, PDelta, Mode Shape and Load Buckling
• Preparation of 3D structural models and Engineering shop and fabrication drawings including detailing etc.
• Preparation of As-built drawing and method statements for projects
• Perform environmental study using CFD under supervision of manager
• Utilize Rhino 3D and Grasshopper script for design and modelling including using C++ for scripting
• Work closely with architects, engineers, general contractors, fabricators and other professionals
• Involve in supervising projects and provide progress report
• Make sure projects meet authorities' requirements

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelors or Master's degree in Civil and Structural Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years relevant experience in Civil and Structural Engineering design
• Proficiency with steel 3D modelling, analysis & design software such as Rhino and grasshopper.
• Proficiency with programming language especially C++ , Python and Fortran
• Able to produce detailed layout drawings
• Experience in Tensile Membrane, ETFE Skylight and Steelwork design is an advantage
