Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking a Senior Engineer, Machine Learning to design, build, and support AI-enabled applications that strengthen research, analyses, and strategy communications. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, applied AI, data, and business strategy, collaborating with strategy and corporate development teams.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s with 2+ years of experience or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field with 4+ years of experience.
• Proven Python capability through professional experience or project work.
• Experience building or deploying AI agents, AI-enabled applications, or automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Python-based applications that automate research, synthesize competitive and market intelligence, and support strategic analysis and communication.
• Build and maintain AI agents that connect with approved internal and external data sources, automate analytical workflows, and improve decision support.
• Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines for structured and unstructured information used by strategy tools and AI applications.
• Apply technologies such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Model Context Protocol (MCP), large language models, and agentic frameworks to business use cases.
• Create prototypes, evaluate technical feasibility, and iterate solutions based on stakeholder feedback and scalability.
• Document solution architecture, data flows, operating procedures, and maintenance requirements.
