Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX business, is seeking an experienced leader to drive industry-academia collaborations in Singapore. You will shape strategic research programs and partnerships with A*STAR and other academic institutions, aligning RTX's technology priorities with cutting-edge research.

You will oversee multiple research projects, mentor senior engineers, and guide technology development from concept through implementation while ensuring regulatory and IP compliance across initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in engineering, R&D, technology development, or leadership roles.
• Experience leading large cross-functional research or tech projects with government, academia, or research orgs.
• Ability to translate research outcomes into practical technology or business applications.
• Strong passion for innovation and industry-academia collaborations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a thought leader and advocate for RTX, strengthening collaborations with A*STAR and other research bodies.
• Establish and maintain partnerships with academic and research institutions to advance collaboration.
• Develop and lead strategic research projects aligned with RTX’s priorities.
• Oversee a portfolio of academic collaboration projects with high-impact outcomes.
• Identify emerging technologies and opportunities for RTX’s technology roadmap.
• Mentor senior engineers and support technology development projects from concept to implementation.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and IP requirements.
