Job summary

MCI Career Services in Singapore is seeking a procurement professional to analyze data, manage supplier relationships and optimize total cost of ownership for products and services across projects.

You will negotiate with factories and suppliers, manage purchase orders and BOM data, and coordinate with Sales and Customer Service to ensure timely deliveries. Experience with SAP is preferred; strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Understanding of procurement processes including requisition, sourcing, negotiation and purchase orders.
• Understanding of supply chain dynamics and how external factors can impact availability and cost.
• Ability to build win-win relationships with factories and suppliers while protecting company’s interests.
• Proficiency in cost analysis to assess total cost of ownership including transport and storage.
• Effective communication skills for negotiating terms with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in analyzing data to identify trends and cost-savings opportunities.
• Proficient with SAP (B1 Hana & R3 Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Analyze sales/purchasing data to provide insight on market trends and decisions.
• Conduct cost analyses to determine total cost of ownership and cost-saving opportunities.
• Find and evaluate new sources for products, services and contractors.
• Support sales by managing subcontractors and vendors for projects.
• Manage material master data including creation of new part numbers and BoM items.
• Coordinate with sales and customer service to place orders with factories.
• Negotiate prices with factories and suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Follow up on open orders and manage deliveries.
• Liaise with factories/suppliers on quality issues and replacement claims.
• Plan buffer/safety stocks to meet customers/projects demands.
• Forecast and demand planning for both series and project business.
• Identify process improvements within procurement and implement changes.
• Any other duties as assigned.
