Job summary

Public Service Division in Singapore seeks a policy and payments governance specialist to anchor Singapore’s place as a global payments hub. You will shape rules, collaborate with banks, PSPs, and regulators to implement scheme changes and governance frameworks.

You will drive end-to-end payment scheme projects from policy to implementation, engage stakeholders, and translate complex payment concepts into clear policy positions and scheme rules, with a focus on PayNow and SGQR developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or a related discipline.
• Experience in payments, financial services, fintech, or a related field — whether in a bank, payment service provider, scheme operator, or regulator.
• Hands-on exposure to payment scheme operations, product development, policy, or infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with instant payment systems, QR payment schemes, or cross-border payment corridors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape the rules and architecture of Singapore’s national payment schemes.
• Contribute to a significant chapter in Singapore’s payments evolution with PayNow Generation 2 projects.
• Help shape Singapore’s approach to the future of payments, including AI-driven commerce governance and pilot designs.
• Drive scheme initiatives from policy to implementation, managing end-to-end delivery and stakeholder alignment.
