Job summary

Singapore Management University is seeking a seasoned Partnership Development & Strategy professional to lead industry collaborations and institutional partnerships. You will identify opportunities, engage senior stakeholders, and design propositions aligned with SMU-X and SMU-XL objectives.

You will also oversee project scoping, negotiations, and financial governance, ensuring timely delivery and measurable impact across partnerships and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with experience in partnerships, corporate relations, or stakeholder management.
• Master's degree preferred in business, management, education, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a partnership development strategy aligned with SMU-X and SMU-XL objectives.
• Identify, engage, and cultivate relationships with industry partners across priority sectors.
• Conduct market and industry scanning to identify trends, needs, and collaboration opportunities.
• Design partnership propositions aligning institutional goals with industry needs.
• Serve as the primary contact for industry partners and manage senior stakeholder relationships.
• Represent SMU at industry events and expand institutional visibility.
• Scope, structure, and coordinate industry projects for SMU-XL with internal stakeholders.
• Lead discussions and negotiations on collaboration terms, including NDAs.
• Track partnership performance and prepare internal reports on progress and outcomes.
• Manage financial matters related to partnerships, including claims and payments.
