The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Job description

As a Strategic Partner Manager, you will incubate transformative plans and rally cross-functional teams towards new opportunities by accelerating deals and driving strategic initiatives, for example through partner strategy alignment, cross-functional joint business plans and key industry initiatives and programs.

In this role, you will engage with partner and Google ecosystems stakeholders to understand their customer needs and bring the best of Google to solve partner challenges. You will also enable front line teams by providing internal cross-functional governance and guidance. You'll help execute a partner-centric One Google strategy to foster stronger partnerships for our most complex and strategic partners in the SEA region - with deeper focus on our Singapore region.

Job responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with key partner executives up to CEO, understand the mission and their strategic goals and align all of Google relevant functions against the partners’ most pressing strategic objectives.
  • Amplify the impact of Google’s C-suite engagement, and spot the plays to enable the pursuit of improved and more innovative business opportunities.
  • Deliver thought leadership and drive specific partner initiatives based on your holistic industry expertise. Enable internal google teams to develop tailored client solutions, providing partner context and insights and opening doors.
  • Facilitate and coordinate communities of Sales and BD teams working with your partners, creating internal transparency, cohesion and clear objectives. Be the internal point of contact for all Google teams who are engaging with the partner.
  • Collaborate with and influence senior product leaders and BD teams to advocate for products and services that accelerate the partners’ objectives and growth in our region. Drive Google’s ecosystem efforts in APAC and connect with key stakeholders (e.g. Associations) in a structured and targeted approach through industry events, panels and marketing campaigns.
Minimum qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management.
  • Experience in sales or partnerships in the Singapore or Southeast Asia markets.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience managing agreements or partnerships.
  • Experience in Telecommunications, E-Commerce/Retail, Apps, Ads, Gaming, or Technology industries.
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience influencing across different functions/levels in a cross-functional environment and working with partner C-suite.
  • Experience working effectively across all levels (e.g., senior executives, managers, peers), with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with AI technology and use cases with partners.
  • Ability to work ambiguously and autonomously within a large matrixed organization to drive alignment and key deliverables.
  • Excellent relationship building skills, with the ability to inspire trust and influence outcomes.
  • Proactive, results-driven, and highly collaborative with outstanding organization and project management skills.
