Job summary

Silicon Box Inc. is seeking a Material Planner to manage MRP, ensuring timely PR releases and preventing material shortages that could affect production. You will monitor BOM accuracy, align with Procurement, IE, and Production, and drive continuous improvements across the supply chain.

The role emphasizes close collaboration with Procurement and Production Planning to maintain material flow and report on key metrics such as on-time PR releases and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years in material planning or MRP-related role
• Strong understanding of MRP logic and BOM structure
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle or similar)
• Lean/Six Sigma exposure or supply chain certifications (APICS/CPIM)
• Strong Excel/data analysis skills
• Good communication and coordination with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Review and manage MRP on a regular basis to identify material requirements from schedules and forecasts
• Analyze MRP exception messages (shortages, excess, past-due) and take corrective action
• Verify BOM accuracy and coordinate with Engineering for ECNs or substitutions
• Release Purchase Requisitions on time and track PR-to-PO status with Procurement
• Monitor material availability and escalate shortages before impact to production
• Coordinate with IE and Production to capture material usage and wastage in the system
• Prepare weekly shortages reports for leadership and drive process improvements
• Act as interface between Production Planning, Procurement and Warehouse for material readiness
