What does the job consist?
As the Strategic Marketing Manager for the Edge & Cloud AI division, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our strategic positioning across diverse semiconductor and AI-driven markets. You will work across multiple business units (BUs), translating market trends, customer insights, and competitive dynamics into actionable strategies that enable growth in key application areas including Photonics-SOI, Imaging, and FD-SOI-based platforms.
This role requires a unique combination of strategic thinking, analytical rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and a solid understanding of the semiconductor value chain. You will be a key contributor to defining divisional growth strategies, owning competitive landscape assessments, and driving our external visibility through targeted MARCOM activities and event coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct strategic-level competitive analysis across the substrate ecosystem, assessing players' capacity, technology roadmap, customer engagement models, and strategic positioning.
- Collaborate with BU-level technical marketing teams to consolidate product-level insights with broader competitor intelligence.
- Drive SWOT analyses, Porter’s Five Forces, and other strategic frameworks to assess divisional positioning; partner with BUs and Business Development to translate insights into business actions.
- Develop and maintain addressable market models to support 5-year strategic planning and revenue forecasting.
- Own and manage the Divisional and BU-level events calendar (e.g., tradeshows, conferences, workshops) in alignment with the corporate calendar.
- Define and execute the Divisional MARCOM strategy, including content planning, digital marketing activities, and alignment with Corporate Communications and IR.
- Liaise with Investor Relations (IR) for division-level business readouts and participation in corporate-level presentations and disclosures.
- Identify and evaluate emerging trends across Edge AI, Data Center, IoT, and Healthcare verticals to inform technology and investment strategy.
- Support external visibility efforts through thought leadership and digital content creation (social media, white papers, etc.).
- Foster collaboration with internal stakeholders including Strategy, BU leadership, R&D, BD, and Corporate Marketing to ensure alignment across functions.
Requirements & qualifications
Must-Have:
- At least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in a foundry, substrate supplier, or fabless environment.
- Demonstrated success in strategic marketing, competitive analysis, or corporate strategy roles with global exposure.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using strategic frameworks (SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces, TAM/SAM/SOM modeling).
- Clear understanding of the semiconductor value chain, including substrates, wafer supply, and fabless/foundry dynamics.
- Experience engaging with technical and commercial teams, including R&D, BU leadership, and strategy groups.
- Fluency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with project management and issue-tracking tools.
Preferred:
- Background in foundry marketing or ecosystem strategy.
- Understanding of IP roadmaps and technology inflection points in 5G, IoT, Silicon Photonics, and Edge AI.
- Experience in investor-facing roles or preparing content for investor presentations.
- Multicultural team leadership or work experience in international, matrixed organizations.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical field; advanced degree or MBA a plus.
