Position: Strategic Management Executive


Department: Business Development Functional Group

Base location: Singapore

Travelling: As required in the APAC region and occassionally worldwide for BD activities.


Overview

The role of our Strategic Management Executive is to explore market requirements and resolve the gap of the challenges of the market industry. It entails understanding of the business and market and planning to better support the strategic development of the company.


Requirements—

  • Education :
Master’s Degree in Business Administration (BA) or equivalent/ relevant course.
  • Experience :
Any work experience in Business Development role in relevant natural gas related industry.
  • Interpersonal Skills :

Possess excellent communication and collaboration capabilities with internal and external multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Work Style :

Ability to work independently and work well in a team, adaptive to management changes & approaches, and maintain enthusiasm and drive with a positive and proactive attitude in challenging work environments.


Key Responsibilities—

a) Strategy Development & Planning

  • Support executive management in formulating long-term business strategies aligned with the organization’s vision and mission.
  • Conduct environmental scanning, competitive benchmarking, and market analysis to identify strategic opportunities and threats.
  • Coordinate annual and mid-term strategic planning processes across business units and functions.
  • Prepare business case analysis for new initiatives, partnerships, or investments.

b) Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress on strategic objectives.
  • Regularly prepare and present strategy progress reports and dashboards to executive management.
  • Identify gaps between actual and targeted performance, analyze causes, and propose corrective actions.

c) Strategic Projects & Initiatives

  • Lead or coordinate cross-functional strategic projects (e.g., digital transformation, business expansion, cost optimization).
  • Monitor execution of strategic initiatives to ensure timely and effective implementation.
  • Facilitate alignment of departmental goals with corporate strategy.

d) Business Analysis & Insights

  • Perform in-depth financial, operational, and market analysis to support decision making.
  • Identify new market trends, emerging technologies, and business models relevant to the organization.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve competitiveness and growth.

e) Stakeholder Communication & Alignment

  • Assist in preparing strategic presentations and materials for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., board meetings, investor meetings).
  • Foster alignment and communication of strategic priorities across departments and management levels.
  • Serve as liaison between executive management and operational teams on strategy-related topics.

f) Risk Management & Scenario Planning

  • Assess strategic risks and develop mitigation plans.
  • Support scenario planning exercises and sensitivity analysis to guide decision making under uncertainty.

g) Continuous Improvement & Best Practices

  • Benchmark and recommend best practices in strategic management, corporate governance, and performance measurement.
  • Promote a culture of strategic thinking and continuous improvement within the organisation.
