Job summary

A*STAR Research in Singapore invites applications for the role of Assistant Director, Digital Tech & Computing. You will shape and drive the Data-AI-Compute (DAC) research agenda, translating AI research into economic and societal impact and steering programme ownership across public and private partners.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of work experience in engineering, IT, or computer science.
• Ability to think strategically and propose comprehensive solutions.
• Knowledge across a broad range of digital technologies and trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to decision makers.
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
• Experience in technology strategy or programme management in public service or research is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Shape and drive the national Data-AI-Compute (DAC) research agenda.
• Coordinate with Ministries, Public Agencies, Research Institutes, and industry partners.
• Develop and manage R&D programmes and track progress to translation and impact.
• Translate AI research into economic and societal impact for Singapore.
• Lead strategy reviews of digital capabilities and roadmaps across institutes.
