Job summary

CITIBANK N.A. is seeking an IT Project Group Manager responsible for leading a team and delivering highly complex technology projects across regions. The role requires strong business acumen, strategic direction, and effective resource management.

The position involves influencing senior leaders, ensuring compliance, and allocating budgets and staff to meet operational needs. About 25% of time is devoted to broader international technology initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in a related technology role with commensurate people management experience.
• Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all technology components of the development and implementation of major/multiple/highly complex projects.
• Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
• Provides strategic direction for projects managed.
• Sets guidelines for appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs.
• Impacts the IT project leadership function by strategic influence and by exercising control over resources, budget management and planning; accountable for end results.
• Evaluates subordinates' performance and makes decisions on pay increases, hiring, terminations and other personnel actions.
• Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of how IT project leadership integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry.
• Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues.
• Around 25% of your time will be spent on wider International Technology work.
