Job summary
IMDA is seeking Assistant Managers / Managers in the Skills team to oversee industry engagement and strategic programme management for Singapore's digital workforce. You will liaise with tech hirers, IHLs, and government partners to design and deliver workforce development and CET training programmes, ensuring alignment with national interests and policies.
The role focuses on shaping pathways for Singaporeans in ICT, driving market-informed human capital strategies, and monitoring programme
Responsibilities
- Foster strategic relationships with key stakeholders (tech hirers, IHLs, trade associations, professional bodies)
- Partner with IMDA divisions and government agencies to develop workforce initiatives
- Create impactful job opportunities and training pathways for Singaporeans in the Digital sector
- Address industry manpower challenges through strategic partnerships and solutions
- Support ICT sector transformation through collaborative programmes
- Design and implement targeted workforce development programmes
- Collaborate with industry and government partners on programme delivery
- Ensure partner compliance with policies, processes, and timeline for programme delivery
- Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness
- Provide data-driven recommendations to management for programme optimisation
- Monitor developments in ICT and CET training landscape
- Analyse industry trends and hiring patterns
- Map Singapore's evolving jobs and skills ecosystem
- Develop evidence-based human capital strategies
- Shape workforce initiatives based on market insights
- Work independently and as team on assessment of project proposals with industry partners, balancing business considerations, IMDA and national interest priorities
- Manage project or workstream budget planning, tracking and management reporting of funding utilisation and outcomes/KPIs achieved for programmes under team's portfolio
