Job summary

Lam Research in Singapore seeks a Strategic Commodity Manager 3 to develop and execute sourcing strategies for Major Modules with Remote Factories and Contract Manufacturers within the Global Supply Chain Organization. You will identify and onboard new suppliers, maintain core competencies, and drive cost-saving initiatives to support global requirements.

You will negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships, and ensure capacity planning aligns with Lam’s quality and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent is required with 5+ years of related experience in supply chain.
• Proven ability to partner across functions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in procurement and supplier management is desirable.
• Ability to interpret technical documents (e.g., blueprints/BOM).
• Experience using SAP system is essential.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of resolving issues.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple processes and projects with urgency.
• Team player, independent, and meticulous.

Responsibilities

• Develop & deploy new suppliers for critical technology in a fast-paced, high-mix, low-volume environment for capacity flexibility & reducing lead time
• Development of plans & metrics for annual cost savings
• Develop & maintain suppliers’ core competencies to support local/global business requirements and their capacity plans & articulate constraints for long term planning
• Negotiate contracts (purchase agreements, ISA’s and etc.) and identify/execute on pricing inflection points
• Manage Lam liabilities at suppliers through claims and balance sheet review processes
• Manage Lam working capital through lead time strategies including postponement, consignment and inventory stocking strategies
• Continuity planning & risk mitigation
• Evaluate cost & quality performance benchmarks and risks associated with the preferred supply base selection
• Develop & maintain working knowledge of Lam’s quality management system and properly apply quality procedures and operating procedures as appropriate
• Receiving deemed exports of EAR or ITAR controlled technology
• Carry out technical and commercial projects and all other additional duties as assigned
• Write effective reports on development of progress of projects
• Take on ad-hoc duties as and when assigned by the Immediate Supervisor
