Job summary

Veeco is seeking a Senior Buyer to manage the procurement of raw materials, equipment, components and services globally. The role blends tactical purchasing with strategic sourcing to optimize quality, delivery, price and total cost.

You will work in an international procurement office within the operations group, driving continuous improvement across the supply chain. The successful candidate holds a BS in Business or Supply Chain with 8+ years of purchasing experience and familiarity with SAP,

Qualifications

• BS degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain; APICS/CSCMP a plus

Responsibilities

• Place direct and indirect purchase orders for Tier-1 manufacturers and suppliers.
• Negotiate price, lead-time and delivery to achieve best total cost.
• Communicate requirements clearly with suppliers and stakeholders across units.
• Anticipate and resolve complex supply chain problems within delegated authority.
