Job summary

Sentient is seeking a Strategic Finance and Operations professional to help scale our organization. You will partner with leaders in product, business development and operations to evaluate new initiatives, build financial plans, and ensure disciplined execution in a remote setting.

The role combines Strategic Finance, FP&A and operations support, with a focus on treasury workflows, partnerships, governance, and risk assessment.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in strategic finance, corporate development, venture finance, startup operations, or a related field.
• Strong financial modeling skills; advanced Excel/Google Sheets; Python or data science tools a plus.
• Deep interest in blockchain, AI, and financial products, including economics, tokenomics, risk management, and treasury operations.
• Proven ability to handle cross-functional challenges with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude in lean environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a quantitative field; CFA a plus.
• Attention to detail is a must.
• Background at an exchange is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Finance: Build financial models for partnerships, token economics, and new AI product initiatives.
• FP&A: Oversee outsourced accounting, forecast models, annual budgeting, and treasury operations.
• Operations & Foundation Support: Partner on entity structuring, capital flows, and payments; manage grants and governance.
• Risk & Viability: Evaluate financial viability and risks of AI and blockchain products, including pricing and deal structuring.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridge Finance, Product, Operations, and Go-to-Market teams to drive outcomes.
