Job summary

Legend Global Logistics seeks an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance function and partner with senior leadership to drive sustainable growth and operational excellence. You will collaborate with central finance teams to ensure robust reporting, governance, liquidity management and financial performance.

The role requires a recognised accounting qualification with 10+ years in senior finance leadership, ideally within logistics.

Qualifications

Recognised professional accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA) or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience.
Extensive senior finance leadership and business partnering in international multi-entity settings.
Experience in budgeting, forecasting, governance, cash management and audit.
Experience influencing senior stakeholders across functions and geographies.
Experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding or related industry is preferred.
Experience supporting transformation, integration, restructuring or turnaround initiatives.

Responsibilities

Lead Legend’s financial planning, reporting, forecasting and performance-management agenda.
Ensure accurate, complete and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting.
Act as a trusted adviser to senior leadership, providing financial insight and challenge on strategic, commercial and operational decisions.
Lead the annual budget, rolling forecast and long-term planning processes.
Analyse financial and operational performance, including revenue, margin, utilisation, cost productivity, cash flow and profitability.
Prepare clear management reports, variance analysis, financial models and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Provide commercial evaluation of pricing, customer and trade-lane profitability, asset deployment, investments, contracts and other material commitments.
Oversee cash-flow forecasting, liquidity planning, working capital and funding requirements in partnership with central Treasury.
Work closely with Credit Control to manage credit risk, collections priorities and overdue exposures.
Maintain strong financial governance, internal controls, delegated authorities and compliance with Group policies.
Ensure audit findings, control gaps and reporting issues are addressed through sustainable corrective actions.
Lead the finance workstream for business integration, transformation, process standardisation and systems alignment.
Lead, coach and develop the Legend finance team, building a high-performing and controls-conscious finance culture.
