Job summary

Dell Singapore is seeking a strategic procurement professional to develop and implement plans that forecast needs for supplier and commodity management, negotiate favorable contracts, and ensure alignment of supplier roadmaps with Dell’s business objectives to optimize pricing and terms. You will analyze market dynamics, supplier capacities, and product roadmaps to secure reliable supply.

Qualifications

• Experience negotiating supplier contracts.
• Ability to align supplier roadmaps with business roadmaps.
• Forecasting and planning for supplier/commodity needs.
• Knowledge of risk management and transportation options.
• Experience tracking supplier performance monthly.
• Ability to drive supply chain optimization initiatives.
• Identify cost targets for roadmap products.

Responsibilities

• Tracks new technology development for assigned products/suppliers.
• Drives alignment between supplier roadmaps and Dell line of business roadmaps.
• Negotiates product cost and contracts as appropriate.
• Drives suppliers to improve their scorecard performance and reports commodity and supplier performance on a monthly basis.
• Implements Dell initiatives with supply base as required.
• Identifies opportunities for supply chain optimization and implements as appropriate.
• Identifies suppliers that provide relevant technology for products.
• Identifies cost targets for relevant roadmap products.
