Job summary
Randstad Singapore, on behalf of a prominent banking client, seeks an experienced legal counsel to provide practical guidance on banking products and transactions.
You will draft and negotiate loan documents, commercial agreements, and client documentation while identifying legal risks and supporting policy development.
The role requires a qualified banking and finance lawyer with at least five years PQE and strong drafting and research skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) required.
- Qualified banking and finance lawyer with minimum 5 years PQE.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and legal research skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely, practical, and commercially sound legal advice on a broad range of banking products, services, and operational matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate various loan documentation, commercial agreements, client documentation, vendor contracts, and other legal instruments
- Identify and assess legal risks associated with business activities, new initiatives, and transactions, proposing effective mitigation strategies
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal legal policies, procedures, and training programs
- Liaise and coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders and external counsels where necessary
- Report and escalates potential legal risk issues to senior management
