Main Objective
To provide a conducive and quality stowage planning to a containership
Responsibilities
- Responsible for Central Stowage Planning of vessel's stability and safety.
- Ensure break bulk acceptance, slot control, supervision and terminal performance.
- Scheduling and controlling vessel operations.
- Controlling operational slots and co-ordinate with bunker order.
- Close co-ordination with Areas, Vessels and Terminals, to all vessel operational related matter.
- Prepare RDR / SITREP reports, provide conducive stowage, 4-eye check to onboard DG segregation.
- Secondary Tasks not limit to vessel operations or reporting
- Additional task whenever required, including overseas assignment.
- Assist Team Leader in mentoring new Planners.
- Assist Team Leader in Vessel/Terminal Performance reports.
- Ad hoc duties as assigned
Requirements
- Diploma in Marine Operations Studies with at least 5 years’ experience in Liner Stowage planning or Terminal, or Nautical Officer with similar qualification or experience.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Ability to work under pressure and tactfully
- Highly driven, systematic and efficient
- Analytical and meticulous
- A team player who is responsible and able to work with minimal supervision
- Possess strong communication skills
- Willing to learn and show flexibility in accepting any given task
- Good positive attitude and character.
