Job summary

Tan Tock Seng Hospital, part of NHG Health, seeks a Storekeeper to support Operating Theatre (OT) operations on a 2-year contract. You will oversee surgical consumables, manage stock, ensure proper storage, and maintain accurate inventory records to support safe and efficient OT services.

You will work with OT nurses and operations teams, apply EEFO stock rotation, monitor expiries, and participate in quality audits and improvement activities to uphold high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE N-Level/O-Level or NITEC, preferably with 1–2 years in storekeeping, warehousing, inventory or materials management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
• Knowledge of inventory management and stock control, with understanding of receiving, storing and issuing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with ability to maintain accurate inventory records and stock accuracy.
• Physically fit and able to handle, move and store materials in accordance with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage OT supplies and surgical consumables to ensure adequate stock availability.
• Monitor expiry dates and apply EEFO practices for stock rotation.
• Receive, verify, store and issue supplies according to established procedures.
• Ensure proper storage conditions (temperature, sterility, safety) for all consumables.
• Maintain cleanliness and compliance with infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in electronic systems.
• Monitor damaged, expired or obsolete items and escalate issues for follow-up.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, audits and emergency preparedness exercises.
• Work closely with OT nursing and operational teams to support smooth operations.
• Participate in hospital quality management audits and activities.
• Other duties/projects as assigned by OT Senior Management.

Overview

As part of the Operating Theatre (OT) Operations Support team, you will support the effective management and availability of surgical consumables and supplies to ensure smooth and safe OT operations. You will be responsible for inventory management, stock control, proper storage and compliance with established hospital policies, safety and infection control standards. You will also work closely with OT nursing and operational support teams to maintain efficient and high-quality service delivery.

Requirements
