Job description

Position Summary

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service, driving sales, and maintaining a positive store environment at Red Wing Shoes Store. This role includes assisting customers with product selection, processing transactions, and ensuring store displays are organized and visually appealing. In addition to in-store duties, the role requires managing social media accounts to promote products, engage with customers, and enhance the store's online presence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service at all times. It includes greeting customers as they enter, helping them find items in the store, answering any questions about products, and assisting them with fitting or sizing.

2. Sales: Focus on achieving and surpassing store sales targets by using effective sales strategies, including upselling and cross-selling when appropriate. Additionally, ensure accurate processing of sales transactions and handle customer payments through cash, card, mobile payment and online methods, and handling GST refunds.

3. Product Knowledge: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge about Red Wing products/new launch, including their features, benefits, proper care instructions, and the brand's history.

4. Social Media Management: Create and post content on social media to promote products, events, and promotions. Engage with customers by responding to comments and reviews, boosting brand loyalty and visibility. Assist in implementing store promotions and marketing initiatives.

5. Teamwork: Work closely with team members to achieve sales targets and foster a positive work environment. Share valuable customer feedback, emerging trends, and suggestions for improvement that could enhance store sales and performance and more.

6. Store Maintenance: Maintaining a clean, organized and well-stocked store. This includes arranging product displays to be visually appealing and align with brand guidelines.

7. Returns, Exchanges and Warranty Claim: Handle returns and exchanges in line with the company's policies while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

8. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and inform store manager when stocks are low and assist in restocking as necessary.

9. Stock Count: Conduct a monthly/ annual stock count and maintaining accurate stock levels in the store.
