Job Description Summary
Incumbent will be responsible to design and assist in the development of the hardware and software solutions to meet the end customer requirement for our Station Traveler Information System team.
Key Job Accountabilities
As part of Station Traveler Information System (STIS) Team, you will be responsible to design and assist in the development of the hardware and software solutions to meet the end customer requirement. You will be part of the team and will carry out system testing to support the various projects from the planning stage right up to on-site commissioning.
As part of your day-to-day’s work, you will be involved in test planning, analysing the end user requirements, design and develop test cases
You will need to ensure that the solution is designed based on best practices such as to ensure modularity, portability, and scalability to allow for ease of enhancing and maintaining the solution, as well as user friendly for the end user to use and maintain. To operationalize the solution, you will develop user manuals and conduct training sessions for the end user and relevant stakeholders.
To carry out your job role well, you need to be interested and constantly kept up to date with technology and be resourceful to explore and use feasible solutions to continue improve on the current solution. You must also be inquisitive to find out the root causes of defects and to discuss with the relevant internal stakeholder to identify solution and to mitigate the recurrence of similar defects.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Tertiary qualification in Electrical & Electronics, Information Technology or Engineering.
Good written communications, presentation and interpersonal skills are required
System engineering lead for the respective project
Able to work well both independently as well as in a team
Ensure traceability of test objectives against specified software requirements
Design and setting up of factory acceptance test bench/platform
Perform software testing and integration
Assist in site installation, testing and troubleshooting
Raise deviations into issue tracking system for evaluation and rectification
Participate in test reviews
Coordination/Meeting with customer during project execution
Assist in Production/Product/Equipment delivery
NCR management for in-house and COTS product
Willing to work in construction site environment.
Determination and stamina to drive tasks to full completion
Certification in software testing or development would be an advantage
