Job Description Summary

Incumbent will be responsible to design and assist in the development of the hardware and software solutions to meet the end customer requirement for our Station Traveler Information System team.

Key Job Accountabilities

As part of the Station Traveler Information System (STIS) Team, you will be responsible for designing and assisting in the development of hardware and software solutions to meet end customer requirements. You will carry out system testing to support various projects from the planning stage to on-site commissioning.

Your day-to-day work will involve test planning, analyzing end user requirements, and designing and developing test cases.

You will ensure that the solution is designed based on best practices to ensure modularity, portability, and scalability, allowing for ease of enhancement and maintenance. Additionally, you will develop user manuals and conduct training sessions for end users and relevant stakeholders.

To excel in your role, you need to stay updated with technology and be resourceful in exploring feasible solutions to improve the current solution. You must also be inquisitive to identify root causes of defects and collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to find solutions and mitigate recurrence of similar defects.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical & Electronics, Information Technology, or Engineering.
  • Good written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • System engineering lead for the respective project.
  • Able to work well both independently and in a team.
  • Ensure traceability of test objectives against specified software requirements.
  • Design and set up factory acceptance test bench/platform.
  • Perform software testing and integration.
  • Assist in site installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Raise deviations into issue tracking system for evaluation and rectification.
  • Participate in test reviews.
  • Coordinate/meet with customers during project execution.
  • Assist in Production/Product/Equipment delivery.
  • NCR management for in-house and COTS products.
  • Willing to work in a construction site environment.
  • Determination and stamina to drive tasks to completion.
  • Certification in software testing or development would be an advantage.
  • Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply.

Reporting Relationship

  • The incumbent reports to AVP, PIS, Mobility Rail.
