Job summary

OpenAI, Inc. is hiring an Applied AI Engineer for our Singapore office. You will guide top startups through ideation, development, and scaling of GenAI applications on our API, becoming a trusted technical partner across multiple teams.

This role emphasizes delivering high-impact results while shaping product feedback and open-source contributions. The position offers a hybrid work model (3 days in office per week) with relocation assistance for new hires, and opportunities to collaborate with

Qualifications

Mandarin proficiency required to work with Mandarin-speaking customers and vendors.
5+ years of experience as a software engineer, ML engineer, or equivalent, ideally in startups.

Responsibilities

Partner with strategic startup customers as their technical thought partner to build novel applications on our API and scale them.
Provide proactive guidance to maximize business impact and accelerate development.
Experiment and prototype alongside customers, demonstrating practical use cases.
Contribute to open-source resources and share knowledge to scale the function.
Synthesize and deliver feedback to Product and Research teams.
Build relationships within the startup ecosystem as a technical partner to customers and the community.
Collaborate with Sales to identify opportunities and align technical work with business goals.
