Job summary

Viridien is building cutting-edge visualization tools for subsurface imaging and advanced computing environments. You will contribute to graphical applications enabling scientists to explore complex 3D subsurface data and help shape scalable software with modern development practices.

You'll gain hands-on experience in leading visualization framework decisions, collaborating with a global team, and delivering high-quality software through the full development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science or related field with strong programming experience.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ and experience in large native codebases.
• Familiarity with Qt or comparable desktop GUI frameworks.
• Understanding of object-oriented design, API design, and maintainable C++ interfaces.
• Experience debugging native applications and investigating crashes, memory issues, or performance bottlenecks.
• Familiarity with CMake/build systems and the software development lifecycle: building, testing, packaging, and releasing applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication in a collaborative engineering team.
• Curious, pragmatic, and eager to learn complex domain software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation and evolution of graphical and visualization software components.
• Drive architectural decisions for visualization frameworks, rendering pipelines and user-facing applications.
• Mentor junior developers and share best practices across the organization.
• Own the complete lifecycle of graphical software components, from requirements analysis through deployment and long-term maintenance.
• Define and promote engineering standards, testing strategies and development best practices.
• Resolve complex technical and performance issues involving visualization and large-scale datasets.
