Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking a Staff Specialist, EHSS Data in Singapore to lead the design and governance of trusted EHSS data products. You will partner with EHSS SMEs, IT, and SMAI to shape data models, pipelines, and technical specifications supporting analytics, AI, and decision-making.

You will ensure data is reliable, well-governed, and aligned with enterprise data practices while enabling scalable data assets across the organization.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Experience designing data models, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and technical data specifications.
• Experience with data profiling, data-quality controls, reconciliation, validation, and structured testing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to translate complex business requirements into technical specs.

Responsibilities

• Build the EHSS Trusted Data Foundation.
• Design and maintain EHSS data models, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and technical data specifications.
• Translate approved business definitions and rules into reusable, analytics-ready data structures and datasets.
• Define and maintain data-quality controls, validation rules, reconciliation processes, and technical acceptance criteria.
• Partner with EHSS SMEs to ensure technical implementation aligns with approved metrics and data standards.

As the Staff Specialist, EHSS Data, you will serve as the technical specialist for the EHSS data domain. You will partner with EHSS SMEs, SMAI, and IT to shape trusted data products, data models, and technical specifications that support reporting, analytics, AI, and operational decision-making. You will provide the technical expertise needed to ensure EHSS data is reliable, reusable, well-governed, and aligned with approved business definitions and enterprise data practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Build the EHSS Trusted Data Foundation
• Design and maintain EHSS data models, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and technical data specifications.
• Translate approved business definitions and rules into reusable, analytics-ready data structures and datasets.
• Define and maintain data-quality controls, validation rules, reconciliation processes, and technical acceptance criteria.
• Partner with EHSS SMEs to ensure technical implementation aligns with approved business definitions, metrics, and data standards.
• Enable Trusted Data Products & Integration
• Partner with SMAI and IT to shape EHSS data products, data pipelines, and technical data designs.
• Represent EHSS in technical data reviews and ensure delivered data products meet business requirements and intended use.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis across source systems, mappings, transformations, and data products.
• Support testing, deployment readiness, and sustainment activities for EHSS data products and data-related changes.
• Steward Data Quality & Sustainability
• Maintain technical metadata, mapping documentation, data dictionaries, and transformation specifications.
• Develop reusable datasets and data assets that support reporting, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality, consistency, maintainability, traceability, and reuse.
• Preserve critical EHSS data knowledge and support long-term sustainment of data assets and technical logic.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 6-10+ years of experience in data engineering, data modelling, data integration, business intelligence engineering, or related technical data roles.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts.
• Experience designing data models, source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, and technical data specifications.
• Experience with data profiling, data-quality controls, reconciliation, validation, and structured testing.
• Experience translating complex business requirements into precise, testable technical specifications.
• Experience working with enterprise databases, cloud-based data environments, or data platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including investigation of complex data defects across systems, mappings, and data pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Data Engineering & Platforms Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure Data Services, or comparable enterprise data platforms.
• Working proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation, validation, automation, or data engineering activities.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, or similar version-control and development-management tools.
• Experience with metadata, data-quality, data-catalogue, lineage, or data-governance capabilities.
• Enterprise Data & Digital Enablement Experience validating production data products, data pipelines, or enterprise data solutions.
• Familiarity with SAP, ServiceNow, or other enterprise business-system data structures.
• Understanding of how trusted data supports reporting, analytics, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and intelligent business processes.
• Experience modernizing legacy databases, SQL logic, or manually managed data processes.

Domain & Professional Experience

• Experience supporting EHSS, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or other regulated operational functions.
• Familiarity with EHSS processes, management systems, sustainability reporting, or regulatory requirements.
• Experience working in a global, cross-functional organization.
• Relevant certifications in data engineering, Snowflake, SQL, Azure, GCP, or comparable data technologies.
