As a tech lead, you will collaborate with engineering managers, senior engineers, and cross-functional partners to design and implement the technical infrastructure of Greenlight's money movement platform. You will primarily work with backend technologies such as Java and Node.js.Key Responsibilities:- Building and maintaining domain platform services for Greenlight product engineering- Leading large technical projects to establish and scale platform capabilities- Developing short- and long-term roadmaps, making tradeoffs to align with business priorities and user experience- Collaborating with various stakeholders including engineering teams, product, design, and operations- Building and supporting microservices in Java/Kotlin- Utilizing gRPC, GraphQL, and REST APIs- Enhancing code quality, reliability, and availability through monitoring, testing, and metrics- Improving engineering tooling and processes for consistent and reliable application delivery- Mentoring and teaching junior team members to foster leadership skillsRequirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent- 8+ years of experience in designing and engineering large-scale systems- Proficiency in JVM languages (Kotlin, Java, Scala)- Experience with cloud architecture and services, particularly AWS and Kubernetes- Strong collaborative and team-oriented mindset- Willingness to learn and master new technologiesNice to Have:- Knowledge of transaction management and ledgering services- Familiarity with gRPC, REST, or GraphQLJoin us if you are ready to contribute to our unique mission and work collaboratively towards helping parents raise a financially smart generation.
