About the Opportunity

The Middle Exchange Platform team develops the core modules of the exchange, including the matching engine, real‑time market data streaming, and market data analysis. It is the backbone of our industry‑leading trading product, used by millions of users. We are seeking highly motivated Java/C++ Engineers to join our cutting‑edge team. In this role, you will design, develop and optimise our systems, which are critical components of our technology stack. We leverage AI technologies to enhance efficiency and performance, offering a unique opportunity for individuals who are eager to learn and grow in a fast‑paced, innovative environment. Candidates with prior experience in large internet companies will excel in this role, as they will bring valuable insights into building and maintaining high‑performance, distributed systems.

What You’ll Be Doing

System Design and Development:

Build and maintain high‑performance systems with a focus on reliability, scalability and low latency.

Troubleshooting and Debugging:

Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, including debugging at the assembly language level when necessary. Use advanced troubleshooting tools and methodologies to ensure system stability and performance.

Work closely with cross‑functional teams to design and implement new features and improve existing systems. Actively contribute to brainstorming and exploring new technologies, including AI‑driven innovations.

Maintain High Standards:

Write clean, efficient and maintainable code. Conduct comprehensive code reviews, performance testing and quality assurance to ensure robust and reliable systems.

AI‑Driven Optimization:

Leverage AI tools and techniques to analyze, optimise and improve system performance and operational efficiency. Experiment with and implement AI‑driven solutions to enhance troubleshooting and automation.

What We Look For In You

Strong Programming Skills:

Expertise in Java or C++ with a solid understanding of object‑oriented programming, concurrency and system‑level programming.

Experience in High‑Performance Systems:

Proven ability to develop and optimise low‑latency, high‑throughput systems. Expertise in performance tuning, memory management and concurrency optimisation.

Exceptional Troubleshooting Skills:

Proficient in diagnosing and resolving complex system issues using tools such as profilers, debuggers and log analyzers. Ability to perform low‑level debugging, including assembly language debugging when needed. Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, system design and network protocols.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in large internet companies, with a background in developing and maintaining high‑availability, high‑performance systems, and hands‑on experience in supporting large‑scale peak traffic scenarios.
• Familiarity with low‑latency systems, real‑time applications or high‑frequency trading platforms.
• Knowledge of message‑oriented middleware or asynchronous programming paradigms.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes) or cloud platforms.
• Proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in both English and Mandarin to collaborate effectively with global and cross‑functional team members.
• Experience with AI technologies to improve efficiency.
