Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Engineer - Geomatics
Report to the Director of Quality Management & Service Hub and support the Quality Engineering (QE) Department in establishing Wireless and Product Compliance for all products to meet various market authorities for distribution.
Responsibilities include:
- Strengthening our command of regulatory matters applicable to Geomatics products and making product certification a core skill.
- Involved in Wireless Compliance, Regulatory Expertise, Product Certification, Technical Files, and Documentation.
- Developing expertise in Geomatics regulations, standards, and norms (safety, IEC, etc.) across regions including EU, North America, Japan, South Korea, China, and Australia.
- Establishing relationships with regulatory bodies, industry experts, and internal stakeholders to stay updated on compliance changes.
- Participating in technical committees (e.g., NBN, ISO, CEN, CENELEC, ANSI, IoT) and contributing to industry standards.
- Leading certification processes in various countries and ensuring compliance of products and applications.
- Driving product compliance programs and providing regulatory requirements during new product development.
- Maintaining and updating Technical Files for certification support, including new functionalities and hardware changes.
- Training internal teams on compliance standards and strategies.
- Collaborating with project leads, R&D, external labs, and other teams to support compliance requirements and tests.
- Supporting regional regulation updates, interpretations, and gap assessments to harmonize strategies.
- Generating compliance reports and presentations for management and product teams.
- Distributing regulatory content via platforms like SharePoint and participating in national and international committees.
Requirements:
- Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in wireless technologies, RF, or telecommunications, with laboratory experience preferred.
- Experience in mechatronics, robotics, circuitry, automotive, medical devices, or large infrastructure projects is advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of engineering processes, system engineering, and software development.
- Solutions-oriented with good standards interpretation skills.
- Effective in stakeholder engagement and network development.
- Proactive, adaptable, and willing to travel on short notice.
