Job description

Job Title: Regulatory Compliance Engineer - Geomatics

Report to the Director of Quality Management & Service Hub and support the Quality Engineering (QE) Department in establishing Wireless and Product Compliance for all products to meet various market authorities for distribution.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Strengthening our command of regulatory matters applicable to Geomatics products and making product certification a core skill.
  2. Involved in Wireless Compliance, Regulatory Expertise, Product Certification, Technical Files, and Documentation.
  3. Developing expertise in Geomatics regulations, standards, and norms (safety, IEC, etc.) across regions including EU, North America, Japan, South Korea, China, and Australia.
  4. Establishing relationships with regulatory bodies, industry experts, and internal stakeholders to stay updated on compliance changes.
  5. Participating in technical committees (e.g., NBN, ISO, CEN, CENELEC, ANSI, IoT) and contributing to industry standards.
  6. Leading certification processes in various countries and ensuring compliance of products and applications.
  7. Driving product compliance programs and providing regulatory requirements during new product development.
  8. Maintaining and updating Technical Files for certification support, including new functionalities and hardware changes.
  9. Training internal teams on compliance standards and strategies.
  10. Collaborating with project leads, R&D, external labs, and other teams to support compliance requirements and tests.
  11. Supporting regional regulation updates, interpretations, and gap assessments to harmonize strategies.
  12. Generating compliance reports and presentations for management and product teams.
  13. Distributing regulatory content via platforms like SharePoint and participating in national and international committees.
Requirements:
  1. Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
  2. 5-8 years of relevant experience in wireless technologies, RF, or telecommunications, with laboratory experience preferred.
  3. Experience in mechatronics, robotics, circuitry, automotive, medical devices, or large infrastructure projects is advantageous.
  4. Strong analytical skills and understanding of engineering processes, system engineering, and software development.
  5. Solutions-oriented with good standards interpretation skills.
  6. Effective in stakeholder engagement and network development.
  7. Proactive, adaptable, and willing to travel on short notice.
