Visa Hunt is partnering with a global leader in industrial automation to recruit a Quality Engineer focused on product and software quality across the development lifecycle. You will drive robust quality practices and collaborate across engineering and manufacturing teams to secure reliable, high-quality launches.

The role emphasizes design reviews, risk-based quality management, and ISO 9001 compliance, with opportunities to apply AI and analytics to improve defect detection and testing

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 5–6 years in Quality Engineering or Design within electronics or software domains.
• 4–5 years in customer-facing roles with strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead product/software quality strategy across NPI, sustaining, and customer issues.
• Participate in design, code, verification, and validation reviews to ensure quality requirements.
• Drive CTQ, APQP, DFSS, DfR and FMEA activities for robustness.
• Plan reliability testing including HALT/ORT and failure analysis.
• Lead root cause analysis and CAPA with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure readiness for mass production and successful product launches.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Suppliers to mitigate risks.
• Support ISO 9001 audits and QMS requirements.
• Identify AI, analytics, and automation opportunities across design, testing, quality, and manufacturing.
• Translate data into scalable quality improvements and monitor progress.
• Provide regular project quality updates and escalate risks for timely resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead product/software quality strategy across NPI, sustaining engineering, customer issues and improvement projects with internal & external stakeholders.
• Participate in design, code, verification and validation reviews to identify risks and ensure quality requirements are met.

• Plan and execute reliability testing, including HALT and ORT, and conduct hands‑on electrical/mechanical failure analysis.

• Ensure product and process readiness for mass production and successful product launches.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and Suppliers to drive risk mitigation and continuous improvement.
• Support ISO 9001 audits and Quality Management System requirements.
• Identify and implement AI, analytics and automation opportunities across design, testing, quality and manufacturing.
• Translate engineering and process data into scalable solutions that improve defect detection, test efficiency, quality and productivity.
• Provide regular project quality updates, escalated risks and drive timely resolution.

Requirements

• Min. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines.
• Min 5-6 years' experience in Quality Engineering and/or Design within electronics or software development.
• Min. 4-5 years of experience in both external and internal customer‑facing roles, with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing, assembly and test processes.
• Experience with product development, quality tools and risk‑based quality practices.
• Experience supporting or auditing ISO 9001 quality systems.
• Strong hands‑on troubleshooting and failure analysis capabilities.
• Proven ability to collaborate across Engineering, Manufacturing, Service and global teams.

Preferred but not a must

• Experience with SDLC, Agile, Scrum, SAFe or Lean methodologies.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, DFSS or Reliability Engineering.
• Experience in hardware design/manufacturing within automotive, aerospace, semiconductor or consumer electronics.
• Relevant certifications such as ASQ CSQE or Six Sigma Black Belt.
• Exposure to AI/GenAI, Machine Learning, analytics, data visualisation or digital automation in engineering, testing, quality or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, model validation and scalable digital solutions.
