Job summary

Flex is seeking a Staff Product Engineer based in SG, Kallang to support manufacturing product engineering. You will focus on cost, quality, and delivery improvements, coordinating with customers on specifications, BOMs, test methods, and design changes to ensure efficient production processes.

You will develop and improve manufacturing and test methods, establish robust parameters, troubleshoot root causes, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Relevant education background in Manufacturing Engineering.
• Technical knowledge of System box build.
• Able to read and understand 2D drawings, schematics for components.
• English speaking - other languages desirable to communicate with large customer base.
• PC Literate: Word, Excel, Power Point, AutoCAD etc.
• Knowledge in CAD system basics.
• Good technical and commercial communication skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a customer-oriented environment and work well with all internal functional areas, customers and suppliers.
• Good team player.

Responsibilities

• Support cost, quality, and delivery improvements for manufacturing.
• Coordinate with customers to determine product specifications and test methods.
• Collaborate with management on production schedules and capabilities.
• Develop and improve manufacturing and test methods for productivity and yield.
• Establish robust process and test parameters.
• Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain product process and test documentation.
• Plan workforce utilization and workspace layouts for efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment testing, validation, and calibration.
• Provide training during new product transfers.
• Participate in lean cost improvement programs.
• Support EHS and CSER policies.
