Job summary

UTAC HEADQUARTERS PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to manage a team of engineers, drive semiconductor test program development, validation, and implementation to meet datasheet specifications.

You will lead cross-functional collaboration with product, quality, and manufacturing to ensure robust test coverage and production readiness. Candidates should have a Bachelor's in Electronics or related field, 5+ years in semiconductor test, and prior leadership experience; hands-on

Job description

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Engineers to achieve operational and project objectives.
• Design, develop, validate, and implement semiconductor test programs and test methodologies to ensure products meet datasheet specifications.
• Drive continuous process improvements, test optimization, cost reduction initiatives, and yield enhancement activities.
• Conduct product feasibility studies and provide technical support during new product introduction and qualification phases.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to develop effective testing solutions and address technical challenges.
• Benchmark, evaluate, and engage third-party suppliers for Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions and new technology implementation.
• Support high-volume manufacturing by ensuring robust test coverage, equipment readiness, and production efficiency.
• Manage engineering resources, support cost-saving initiatives, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
• Mentor, develop, and build technical capabilities within the engineering team through coaching and structured development plans

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor test development, product engineering, or related engineering functions.
• Prior leadership or people management experience is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of semiconductor test development and production test methodologies.
• Hands‑on experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) platforms and semiconductor test processes.
• Experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), test program development, and qualification activities.
• Strong understanding of yield improvement, statistical analysis, quality principles, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results.
