The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing general care to all Paediatric patient in the Paediatric Clinic, ensuring nursing care standards are maintained, and adhering to the hospital’s quality systems and procedures.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Assist doctor and carry out treatment and nursing procedures for patients

  • Register patients, explain charges, collect payment (including day-end closing), schedule follow-up appointments and provide financial counselling for patients scheduled for procedures and/or admission.

  • Ensure the consultation and procedure rooms are in order and check that all equipment and supplies are available and ready for use.

  • Prepare instruments for procedures (if any), assist doctor and clean procedure room after procedures.

  • Dispense medications according to doctors’ prescriptions.

  • Answer phone calls and handle enquiries.

  • Maintain and update the quality records according to the standard guidelines on identification, filing, storage, maintenance and disposition of these records where applicable.

  • Maintain and highlight to Supervisor/Ops Manager/Dr-In-Charge any feedback and issues on medical equipment.

  • Manage and update stock records for medications stored within the centre. Monitor par level of drugs, medicines, supplies and stationery and replenish stocks.

  • And perform any other nursing and administrative related job scope.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience in patient care in the hospital or clinic setting

  • Diploma in Nursing (or equivalent)

  • Valid Practicing Certificate

  • Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care

  • Willing to be cross-deployed when the need arises

  • Passionate about going the extra mile to support patients' well-being

  • Believes in delivering compassionate, patient-centered service with a positive attitude

  • Adaptable and resilient in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team

  • Preferably with DSOT/scope experience
