Job summary

Ang Mo Kio - Thye Hua Kwan Hospital is seeking a Staff Nurse (Renal Dialysis) to participate in dialysis care and outcomes. You will perform hemodialysis cannulation and treatment following current standards and guidelines, while maintaining infection control practices.

The role requires a Diploma in Nursing recognized by the Singapore Nursing Board, at least 2 years of dialysis experience, and valid SNB registration. A 5.5-day work week including Saturdays and public holidays applies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate dialysis outcomes.
• Perform cannulation and treatment for patients per standards/guidelines.
• Maintain infection control procedures according to guidelines.
• Guide Enrolled Nurse level and below to ensure quality care.
• Record dialysis treatment data, blood results and parameters.
• Administer intravenous antibiotics, IV Erythropoietin and transfusions during dialysis as per standard.
• Collect water sampling for water culture to maintain safe water standard.
• Collaborate with hospital staff for blood investigations and follow-up.
• Educate patients on nutrition and fluid compliance.
• Take appropriate nursing actions in emergencies to ensure patient safety.

Staff Nurse (Renal Dialysis)

Responsibilities

• Participate in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of quality dialysis outcome.
• Perform Hemodialysis cannulation and treatment for patients according to the standards practice and guideline.
• Practise proper infection control procedures based on current infection control guidelines.
• Guide and direct the enrolled nurse level and below, to ensure that quality nursing care is rendered to patient at all times.
• Record informative, accurate and concise statement on the Hemodialysis treatment, blood results and Parameters.
• Administer intravenous antibiotics, IV Erythropoietin and Blood Transfusion during Hemodialysis treatment with standard of practice.
• Collect water sampling for water culture to maintain safe water standard guideline.
• Work closely together with respective hospital for blood investigation and follow up.
• Work closely with Dietician and educate patient on nutritional status and fluid compliance.
• Take appropriate nursing actions in emergency situations that compromise patient safety.
