Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Administer Hemodialysis treatment and perform cannulation.
  • Ensure proper infection control procedures are followed.
  • Guide and direct enrolled nurses for quality patient care.

Job description

Staff Nurse (Renal Dialysis)

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the assessment, implementation and evaluation of quality dialysis outcome.
  • Perform Hemodialysis cannulation and treatment for patients according to the standards practice and guideline.
  • Practise proper infection control procedures based on current infection control guidelines.
  • Guide and direct the enrolled nurse level and below, to ensure that quality nursing care is rendered to patient at all times.
  • Record informative, accurate and concise statement on the Hemodialysis treatment, blood results and Parameters.
  • Administer intravenous antibiotics, IV Erythropoietin and Blood Transfusion during Hemodialysis treatment with standard of practice.
  • Collect water sampling for water culture to maintain safe water standard guideline.
  • Work closely together with respective hospital for blood investigation and follow up.
  • Work closely with Dietician and educate patient on nutritional status and fluid compliance.
  • Take appropriate nursing actions in emergency situations that compromise patient safety.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing recognized by Singapore Nursing Board.
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience in dialysis center.
  • Valid registration with Singapore Nursing Board.
  • 6-day work week (including weekends and Public Holidays).
