Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and clinical support to patients undergoing procedures in the Diagnostic Imaging Department and Cardiovascular Laboratory (CVL).
• Assist Radiologists, Cardiologists and other Specialists during diagnostic imaging examinations and invasive procedures.
• Perform intravenous cannulation for contrast-related examinations when instructed and authorised, in accordance with applicable procedures and professional requirements.
• Prepare sterile trolleys and set up the necessary equipment, instruments and accessories for Diagnostic Imaging and CVL procedures.
• Conduct newborn hearing screening and ECG examinations according to established protocols.
• Ensure required consent forms are completed for MRI, IVP, CT and other special or invasive procedures, and explain relevant procedural information to patients as appropriate.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients throughout the examination or procedure.
• Undertake other duties related to the role as assigned by the Manager. EA License No: 20C0270.

Job description

• Participate in emergency response and Code Blue activities within the Department and CVL as part of the designated emergency response team.

• Assist Radiologists, Cardiologists and other Specialists during diagnostic imaging examinations and invasive procedures.

• Perform intravenous cannulation for contrast-related examinations when instructed and authorised, in accordance with applicable procedures and professional requirements.

• Prepare sterile trolleys and set up the necessary equipment, instruments and accessories for Diagnostic Imaging and CVL procedures.

• Conduct newborn hearing screening and ECG examinations according to established protocols.
