Job Description

•Demonstrate expertise in clinical nursing skills and Basic Ophthalmic knowledge such as administration of medication and ECG monitoring.

•Record informative, accurate and concise statements on the medication / treatment record form for procedures rendered to patient as applicable.

•Assist the Doctor during treatments / procedures and examination of patient.

•Coordinate pre and post operative nursing management for all surgery patients.

•Provide Patient Education on Ophthalmic surgeries and health matters to all surgical patients.

•Assist Doctor during Squint re-adjustment procedures, and ocular examinations in the unit.

•Perform Intravenous cannulation and Venepuncture as required.

•Providing nursing management for Intravenous Pulsed steroid patients.

•Plan, co-ordinate and ensure availability of instrumentation, equipment and surgical supplies.

•Monitor direct and indirect care delivery to ensure patient safety and the •Attend to patients’ / customers’ complaints and referred to SSN / NC for further investigations if required.

•Timely escalation and submission of documented Incident Reporting Form to Nurse Clinician / Senior Nurse Manager

Requirements:

•Possess a Diploma in Nursing

•Registered Nurse with Singapore Nursing Board

•Able to thrive in fast-paced environment

•Good interpersonal skills and communication skills

•5.25 work week (alternate Saturday)

•2 rotating shift (up to 8pm)

•Closed on Sundays and public holidays.

•Able to work overtime during high patient volumes
