Position: Staff Nurse
Responsibilities
- Clinical Nursing Quality and Safety
- Provide consistent, excellent clinical and service quality to residents and sponsors.
- Ensure clinical quality guided by the 4 Zeros indicators: Zero Falls, Zero Medication Errors, Zero Pressure Ulcers, Zero Infections.
- Clinical Care
- Deliver safe care and clinical decisions for residents.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, injections, wound dressings, and monitor vital signs.
- Manage medication ordering, packing, and preparation.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation per Ministry of Health requirements.
- Clinical Supervision
- Supervise staff in accordance with ENHS guidelines, protocols, and SOPs.
- Mentor new staff nurses and junior staff to ensure compliance with SOPs.
- Residents’ Activities
- Plan and document daily activities for residents.
- Assist physiotherapists and encourage resident participation in rehabilitation programs.
- Resource Management
- Manage food costs by minimizing waste and monitor use of supplies.
- Maintain inventory control with regular inspections.
- Medical Matters
- Collaborate with doctors on treatment and management of residents’ conditions.
- Feedback Management
- Handle investigations and resolve feedback and complaints from centres.
- Other Duties
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.
- Coordinate with hospitals and sponsors on medical appointments.
- Ensure cleanliness of resident care areas.
- Act as a deputy in managerial absences.
- Maintain logs of daily activities and communicate effectively with residents and sponsors.
Qualifications
- For local candidates: Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Nursing with valid license; SNB registration is an advantage.
- For foreign candidates: Degree or Diploma in Nursing with Board Pass from the Professional Regulation Council.
- State Registered Nurse with a valid practicing license issued by the Singapore Nursing Board.
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Minimum 2-3 years post-registration experience; geriatric care experience is an advantage.
