Associate Consultant, Talent & Research, Technology

My client is a forward-thinking semiconductor company at the forefront of AI computing and machine learning innovation. They are looking for an expert in NPU design to join them in delivering the future of intelligent systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to performance modeling and data throughput analysis for NPU modules.
• Design low-power, area-efficient microarchitectures and implement RTL code using Verilog/SystemVerilog for various NPU subcomponents.
• Apply mathematical understanding of convolution operations and numerical formats (fixed and floating point).
• Collaborate with verification teams to ensure thorough testing and resolve design issues.
• Support system integration, including design reviews and resolving lint, timing, and CDC challenges.

Key Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in digital design, with 2-3 years in SoC development preferred.
• Proven track record in completing at least one full NPU design cycle.
• Strong hands-on experience in RTL design and microarchitecture development.
• Proficient in Verilog/ SystemVerilog and familiar with synthesis and PPA analysis.
• Deep understanding of convolution operations and numerical systems.
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and driven by technical excellence.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Bonus Skills:

• Familiarity with UVM verification methodology.
• Experience with SoC integration and low-power design techniques.
• Knowledge of deep learning models (CNNs, Transformers).
• Background in NPU, GPU, or DSP architecture.
• Exposure to ARM or RISC-V based systems.
