As a Senior Java Engineer at Omnissa's Workspace ONE Intelligence team, you will have the opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital workspaces. Your primary responsibility will be to contribute to the design, development, and management of the AWS-based Workspace ONE Intelligence cloud service. By leveraging analytics, machine learning, and AI technologies, you will be instrumental in delivering innovative solutions that drive critical decision-making, enhance end user experience, ensure security, and automate IT processes and remediation. You will be part of a dynamic team that is dedicated to rapidly developing high-quality software and implementing automation and software engineering best practices.Your key responsibilities will include driving the design and development of major architecture components, participating in all phases of software development, supporting your peers with code reviews and technical insights, improving DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes, and championing API excellence. Additionally, you will be expected to support the team's on-call responsibilities, mentor junior engineers, and take ownership of engineering initiatives to foster a culture of high ownership, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.To excel in this role, you should possess at least 6 years of experience in software engineering with a strong foundation in architecting and designing cloud services. Proficiency in Java, the Spring Framework, microservice architectures, and cloud services (particularly AWS) is essential. You should also demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, technical leadership skills, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and improvement. Proficiency in DevOps, Agile, and CI/CD processes, as well as familiarity with tools like Git, Jira, and Jenkins, will be advantageous.In terms of performance goals, within the first 2 months, you are expected to complete onboarding processes, familiarize yourself with the Intelligence platform architecture, and make meaningful code contributions. Over the next 3-6 months, you should develop deep expertise in specific areas of the platform and acquire in-depth knowledge of your assigned product area. By the 6-12 month mark, you will be tasked with designing and implementing high-performing components of the platform, establishing leadership within the team, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize Intelligence capabilities effectively.This role is based in Bangalore with a flexible work arrangement that includes three days in the office and the option to work from home on the remaining days.
