Job summary

A leading technology company in Singapore is seeking a Middle-End engineer to contribute to the implementation of graphics controllers SoC. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital IC design and proficiency in industry-standard EDA tools, alongside strong analytical and communication skills to collaborate effectively with various design teams.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in digital IC design.
• Knowledge of graphics processor and microcontroller products is a plus.

• Prepare clean and optimized gate-level netlists.
• Conduct formal equivalence checking and perform Static Timing Analysis (STA).
• Drive and contribute to continuous improvement of implementation flows.

Job description

Job Purpose

To contribute to the successful implementation of graphics controllers SoC within a dynamic team of designers

Key Responsibilities

* Execute all tasks assigned to a Middle-End engineer:

- Prepare clean and optimized gate-level netlists

- Develop and validate the design constraints (SDC)

- Support Design for Test (DFT) requirements

- Conduct formal equivalence checking

- Support definition and validation of power intent using UPF

- Provide inputs to support floorplanning activity

- Assist in defining and validating the Clock Tree architecture

- Perform Static Timing Analysis (STA) at pre- and post-layout stages

- Implement and validate ECOs

* Drive and contribute to the continuous improvement of middle-end implementation flows and methodologies

Additional Responsibilities

- Any reasonable task assigned by management and deemed to be within the individuals’ capabilities to ensure smooth running of the business

- As this is an evolving business, ongoing change is an integral part of the position. Management will liaise with the individual on any fundamental change to work practices. The individual is required to embrace and adopt any change to working practices

Knowledge and skill requirements

- Bachelor or Master in Electrical/Electronic Engineering

- 12+ years of experience in digital IC design

- Proficient in using industry-standard EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence)

- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with front-end and back-end design teams

- Excellent analytical skills for identifying and resolving design issues

- Knowledge and working experience with graphics processor and microcontroller products is a plus
