Job summary

Skyworks Solutions, Inc. in Singapore is seeking an early/mid-career analog IC design engineer to develop CMOS/SOI analog blocks for mobile handset applications. You will analyze performance, work closely with layout teams, and participate in silicon bring-up and characterization.

The role requires a BS in electronics and 2 years of analog IC design experience, with Cadence or similar tools and lab measurement skills. MS degree is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• BS in electronics/related field with 2+ years in analog IC design.
• Experience in chip-level analog IC design and simulation.
• Knowledge of device physics and circuit modeling techniques.
• Ability to map models to simulations and measured performance.
• Hands-on lab measurements and characterization with Cadence or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop CMOS and SOI analog Integrated circuit designs for mobile handset applications.
• Contribute to the design and integration of key analog building blocks, including: Bandgap references, current bias, and current mirrors; On-chip temperature sensor circuits; LDOs and control loops; Charge-pump / voltage multipliers; Op-amps and analog signal conditioning; MIPI interface-related analog functions.
• Analyze circuit performance across metrics including noise, accuracy, bandwidth, power, thermal behavior, and loop stability.
• Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure high-quality analog layout practices, device matching, parasitic management, and layout-dependent effects mitigation.
• Participate in silicon bring-up, debugging, characterization, and simulation/silicon correlation.
• Work with cross-functional teams to track progress, resolve issues, and meet project milestones.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and develop CMOS and SOI analog Integrated circuit designs for mobile handset applications.

  • Low Dropout Regulators (LDOs) and control loops
  • Charge-pump / voltage multiplier circuits
  • Operational amplifiers and analog signal conditioning circuits
  • MIPI interface-related analog functions
• Analyze circuit performance across key metrics, including noise, accuracy, bandwidth, power consumption, thermal behavior, and loop stability.
• Collaborate closely with layout engineers to ensure high-quality analog layout practices, including device matching, parasitic management, and layout-dependent effect mitigation
• Participate in silicon bring-up, debugging, characterization, and simulation/silicon correlation
• Work with cross-functional teams (system, module, product, and test engineering) to track progress, resolve issues, and meet project milestones.

Job Requirements

• Possess a BS degree (MS is preferred) and 2 years of experience in analog IC design.
• Demonstrate experience in analog IC design at the chip level.
• Have understanding of the basic device physics with the ability to develop and use advanced linear and non-linear models or simulation techniques
• Able to translate between the model, simulation, physical implementation, and the measured performance of a device.
• This job also requires experience in simulation tools, analog circuit test characterization techniques and equipment.
• Proven track record in using Cadence or similar analog IC design tools and hands-on experience with lab measurements and characterization equipment.
