Job summary

Ripple in Singapore is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to build and scale the enterprise reconciliation platform for finance professionals. You will lead design and implementation of distributed infrastructure across AWS and cloud services, and mentor engineers to uphold engineering excellence.

You’ll own containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, IaC with Terraform/Ansible, and data workloads with Spark/MSSQL in a fast-paced, collaborative setting that values learning, inclusion, and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating large-scale distributed infrastructure.
• 5+ years as a technical lead and mentoring engineers.
• Minimum 5+ years experience with AWS & Kubernetes.
• Deep expertise in Linux and Windows server environments, with cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and Ansible; scripting in Bash, Python, PowerShell.
• Experience with data infrastructure and processing technologies such as Spark and MSSQL; experience with high-volume transactional systems, preferably in finance.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Able to drive engineering excellence through standards, processes, and knowledge sharing.

We are seeking an innovative and forward-thinking Staff Software Engineer passionate about building a world‑class platform through a world‑class team. Creating technical software excellence and spearheading application development in design, implementation, and maintenance to make great things happen.

What you’ll do:

• Build, scale and maintain infrastructure of the enterprise reconciliation application that brings the world class user experience to finance professionals


• Work with wider technical teams on the design, deployment and continuous improvement of infrastructure of our products


• Be a technical domain leader, provide technical guidance to your team and own the delivery of features.


• Participate in raising our standard of engineering excellence by implementing standard methodologies for architecture, coding, testing, and deployment

What you’ll bring:

• 8+ years of hands‑on experience designing and operating large‑scale distributed infrastructure, with 4+ years serving as a technical lead and mentoring engineers.


• Minimum 5+ years experience with AWS & Kubernetes


• Deep expertise in Linux and Windows server environments, with strong experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure.


• Proficiency with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform and Ansible, and scripting languages including Bash, Python, and PowerShell.


• Experience with data infrastructure and processing technologies such as Spark and MSSQL. Experience building the systems that power high‑volume transactional workloads, ideally in finance space. Cybersecurity experience is a plus.


• Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.


• A track record of building infrastructure that scales, stays available, and remains secure, using Agile practices to ship reliably.


• You work openly and collaboratively with diverse teams, and you're energized by driving engineering excellence through better standards, processes, and shared knowledge.


• BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
