Job summary

Ambiq is seeking a Staff Engineer, Analog Layout to drive physical implementation of analog subsystems for chips using leading-edge processes. You will translate circuit architectures into silicon-ready layouts and collaborate with Analog Design and RTL/Physical teams to meet performance, area, and reliability targets.

Qualifications

• Experience with analog IC layout and floorplanning in cutting-edge processes.
• Strong knowledge of parasitic extraction, LVS/DRC, and tape-out support.
• Ability to collaborate with analog/digital designers and layout peers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with analog designers on chip-level and block-level floorplanning and layout strategy.
• Drive layout architecture decisions balancing performance, matching, area, and reliability.
• Execute transistor-level analog IC layout with critical matching and parasitic-aware structures.
• Lead layout for complex blocks and review others' layout work.
• Own parasitic extraction, LVS, DRC, antenna, and fill closure for blocks and top-level integration.
• Support prototype chip bring-up and test to validate layout-dependent effects.
