Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore invites a Solid State Drive Manufacturing Productivity and Operational Improvement Intern to apply industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, and data analytics to boost productivity, quality and safety in Manufacturing Operations.

You will work with cross-functional teams across Engineering, Quality, and Planning while exploring AI-enabled analytics tools. The five-month internship (Jan–May 2027) offers hands-on experience in semiconductor manufacturing,

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with data interpretation.
• Experience with Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI or Tableau) is preferred.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or AI-enabled analytics is a plus.
• Good written and verbal communication; able to present findings clearly.

Responsibilities

• Conduct manufacturing time studies and process observations to identify non-value-added activities and improvement opportunities.
• Analyze production layouts, material flow, logistics arrangements, workplace organization, and ergonomic conditions.
• Evaluate process quality, capacity, utilization, throughput, and other manufacturing performance indicators.
• Develop dashboards or visualization solutions using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or suitable AI-Enabled analytics tools.
• Propose and evaluate improvement solutions through data analysis, impact assessment, and implementation planning.
