Job summary

Ethos BeathChapman is seeking an experienced SRE Engineer for an urgent 6-month contract in Singapore. The role focuses on reliability, scalability, and incident response across cloud-native environments.

You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and IaC tools, ensuring robust observability with CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog, and collaborate with software engineering and operations teams to drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience as SRE with hands-on software engineering and production support.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Java, Python, or .NET.
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and artifact repos (JFrog).
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting; hands-on with log aggregation/observability tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Datadog).
• Cloud and container tech experience (AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, Helm) and related certs are a plus.
• Eligible to start within the next month in Singapore without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve site reliability for the production environment.
• Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Collaborate with software engineers and operations teams to implement observability and automation.

Job description

Our client is a leading consultancy supporting a large asset management firm, and we are looking for a SRE Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer) for an urgent 6-month contract project.

Requirements

• 3 to 7 years of experience as SRE Engineer with hands on experience in software engineering and production support, with proficiency in JavaScript, Java, Python, or .NET.
• Proven experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation), CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions), and artifact repository tools (JFrog).
• Strong Linux administration and shell scripting skills, with hands-on experience in log aggregation and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Splunk, or Datadog.
• Strong communication and analytical skills, with a collaborative, team-first mindset and the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with AWS and containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, and Helm, along with related certifications, are an advantage.
